Project Overview
As Project Leader, Hardip led the engineering design team to deliver this award winning £23m new build facility for the Diocese of Gloucester. With an innovative architectural design, attention to detail in the design of the structure was paramount to the success of the project.
The Challenge
The structural design required a hybrid steel and concrete structure. Managing the interface in the temporary and permanent design was a key consideration and required clear lines of knowledge transfer between the design and construction teams.
On a sloping site prone to flooding, a flood risk assessment was completed and the underground drainage was designed accordingly, receiving the green light from the water authority and the EA.
